Common questions

Got questions?

Is there a subscription?

No. Pay once, own the version you bought and every minor update forever. Major releases (every year or two) are included for bundle holders, and offered at a fair upgrade price to individual-app holders.

What does "one Mac" mean?

A licence runs on one Mac at a time. While it is activated on that Mac, activating it on a second one is refused — this is enforced, not just asked. Moving it is instant, and it is always your choice: deactivate inside the app on the Mac you are leaving, or release the device from your account, then activate on the new Mac. Releasing from your account needs only the email you bought with, so a lost, sold or wiped Mac is no obstacle. An activation is never handed to another Mac on its own — quitting the app or switching the Mac off does not free the licence.

I have two Macs. What do I buy?

Two licences. Set the quantity at checkout and you get one key per Mac in a single email — or buy again later with the same email address and they all appear together in your account. There is no separate multi-device price: two Macs is simply two licences.

What if I'm using it on my desktop and my laptop?

Whichever Mac is running the app holds the licence. The other one is refused while that is true. If you routinely work on both, buy a licence for each — that is what the quantity selector is for.

How does the trial work?

Download the app and run it. Every feature is unlocked for seven days from first launch — no card, no signup, no email. What happens after depends on the app. Oxid Note, Mail, Mac Cleaner, Hub, Studio and OxidVM keep a reduced free mode. Oxid Capture Studio, Transfer and OXAMP are the whole product and stop when the trial ends. Either way, what you already made stays readable — your notes, projects, recordings and settings are yours whether you buy or not.

What if it isn't right for me?

That is what the trial is for: seven days with every feature unlocked, before you pay anything. Because you can try the whole product first, sales are final. If a critical bug stops the app working and we cannot fix it, write to us.

Do you have student or non-profit pricing?

Not yet — it is something we want to offer, and we are working out how to do it properly. In the meantime the seven-day trial unlocks every feature. Write to us from your .edu or organization address anyway — knowing who is asking is what gets it built.

Will the apps still work in 5 years?

Yes. Each app is a self-contained native binary; activation falls back to an offline-cached check so a future API change doesn't strand you.
