Oxid Mac Cleaner is a native macOS app: a SwiftUI interface over a junk scanner written in Rust. It finds caches, logs, app leftovers, large files and duplicates, shows you what it found, and clears what you choose. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

What it does

Smart Care — one scan across junk files and browser data, with a single Fix All button
Cleanup — system junk, app caches and leftovers, developer build artifacts (node_modules, Rust target, Python venvs, Xcode and other tool caches) and Photos caches
Storage — a large-file finder, a duplicate finder that confirms matches by SHA-256, and a sunburst Disk Map

Most cleaning goes to the Trash. Cleanup, Smart Care, the uninstaller, the large-file and duplicate finders and App Reset move files to the Trash, so you can put them back until you empty it.
Your files stay on your Mac. Scanning and cleaning happen locally. The app contacts our server to check your licence and for updates, and sends anonymous crash reports and usage data only if you leave that option on (you are asked at first launch, and can turn it off in Settings).

No. It is a one-time purchase of $19 with no renewal fee.

Can I try it before buying?

Yes. The download is free, and every Pro feature is unlocked for 7 days from first launch. After that, scanning still works in every tool, and System Junk cleanup, the Disk Map and the System Monitor stay free.

Can I use it on multiple Macs?

A licence is active on one Mac at a time. To move it, deactivate it in Settings on the old Mac and enter the key on the new one. To use it on several Macs at once, buy a licence for each.

Can I undo a clean?

Mostly, yes. Cleanup, Smart Care, the uninstaller, the large-file and duplicate finders and App Reset move files to the Trash, so you can put them back until you empty it. The secure shredder, Photos cache cleanup and browser extension removal delete permanently.

Does anything leave my Mac?

Your files do not. Scanning and cleaning happen on your Mac. The app contacts our server to check your licence and for updates. It also sends anonymous crash reports and usage data if you leave that option on; you are asked at first launch and can turn it off in Settings.

How is it different from CleanMyMac?

Mainly in how you pay. MacPaw sells CleanMyMac as a yearly or monthly subscription (CleanMyMac Yearly is $39.99 a year on the Mac App Store), and its own store also offers a one-time licence that does not include major-version upgrades.
