Questions
When is it out?
It isn’t released yet. This page describes what version 1.0 is planned to do; it will be updated from the finished app, and the App Store link added, when it is out.
Are there ads?
No. This version shows no ads, free or Pro. Free gives you every cleaner one at a time and every tool on up to 10 photos per job; Pro adds batches and the extras listed above.
Does it track me?
No. This version has no analytics, starts no ad SDK, never shows the tracking prompt and collects no data; the privacy policy says the same.
Do my photos leave my iPhone?
No. Finding duplicates, judging sharpness, every compress, resize and convert, and reading or removing a photo’s hidden details happen on your device. There is no Oxid account or server. The only outside request is the map: its tiles, and a street address if you tap “Look up address”, come from Apple Maps.
What happened to Oxid Metadata?
It is now the Privacy tab of Oxid Photos, with everything it did: the Privacy Report, Clean & Share, the Privacy Scan and editing dates and locations. One app, one Pro.
Is Pro a subscription?
No. Pro is $2.99 once, with Family Sharing. There is no subscription and no trial that turns into one.
Can it clear “System Data”, caches or RAM?
No — iOS doesn’t let any app do that, and Oxid Photos doesn’t pretend to. It cleans your photo library, and says how much space is pending in Recently Deleted versus actually freed.
